This year I will lay my Festivus Pole on the floor and hit it with a hammer. This a show of strength. Then I will stand it up and sing a Festivus song called 'I Hate Your Bum' out the window.

I have loved Festivus from the beginning, and a blog dedicated to it is great. But selling an aluminum pole is not the point I believe. If the holiday is to be celebrated correctly you must be a CHEAP person like Frank. He would never have paid for a pole. The whole point is he had a shitty aluminum tree pole and was not gonna upgrade his tree. It is an anti-commercial holiday. You need to be cheap, grouchy, and sick to death of commercialism to be in the spirit of Festivus. I say it is a great prelude to Christmas, which is about the birth of a savior, not greed. You are ingenious in marketing, but misguided to the true meaning of Festivus. But have fun anyway, there are plenty of idiots who don't get it out there who would pay for an aluminum pole. I say raid grammas attic for an authentic aluminum pole and celebrate the Costanza way...CHEAP!
